One of the stand-out chefs attending this year is Nici Wickes, chef and presenter of the successful TV show, World Kitchen. It's back...

02 November 2012

... and it’s going to be bigger, tastier and fresher than ever! The 2013 Auckland Seafood Festival is returning to Halsey Wharf, Wynyard Quarter over Auckland Anniversary weekend in all of its delicious glory!

The event promises an array of our best seafood, local beer and wine, amazing Kiwi musicians and entertainers, master cooking classes, celebrity chefs, and even a dash of education for the kids.

Lapping up the sun surrounded by great food and entertainment – sounds like a pretty good way to spend the long weekend right?

Venue

The 2013 Auckland Seafood Festival will be returning to Halsey Wharf, Wynyard Quarter! With its amazing views of the Waitemata Harbour and the BIG little city, this vibrant addition to the viaduct makes for a pretty spectacular setting to enjoy some of New Zealand's best seafood! Check out the Gallery to see for yourself!

There are a number of ways to get into the BIG little city and you can get directions to the Festival by clicking the button to the right. But if you want our recommendation on your mode of transport, one of the most relaxing ways to get to the Auckland Viaduct has to be on the Fullers ferries. If you're lucky enough to be near a ferry terminal, there's no better way to start off your Festival experience than by kicking back and floating aboard the seas that so much of our delicious seafood comes from.

For any out-of-towners looking at coming to Auckland for the Festival, Rendezvous Grand Hotel has a great package deal for accommodation and tickets. Interested? Check it out!

About

The Auckland Seafood Festival was created seven years ago to celebrate Auckland’s Anniversary weekend and New Zealand seafood. The event has always been a community project with all proceeds going to charity. During the life span of the Festival, over $350,000 has been donated.

Since 2006, the Festival has grown considerably, with new sponsors and stallholders getting on-board each year. This three-day extravaganza of New Zealand’s best seafood, musical acts, live demonstrations and competitions is set in the BIG little city, right in the heart of Auckland’s fishing industry. The various venues around Auckland’s waterfront that have housed the Festival have always provided an ideal setting for a great day of fun, sun and seafood. The 2013 Festival will be returning to Halsey Wharf, Wynyard Quarter, a vibrant addition to the viaduct overlooking the Waitemata Harbour! We look forward to celebrating with you!
